JHT Awarded Navy AATT Subcontract

May 23, 2017, Orlando FL
JHT Incorporated announced today that they were awarded a subcontract to support the Aegis Ashore Team Trainer (AATT) maintenance effort. This contract is a delivery order under the PC-based Open architecture for Reconfigurable Training Systems (PORTS) IDIQ under which JHT is a subcontractor to Northrop Grumman. It is a one-year contract with a value of $1.2 million.

The AEGIS Ashore Team Trainer provides the capability to train to individual watchstander level of qualification and then train to certification level for the entire AEGIS Ashore Missile Defense System (AAMDS) Combat Information Center (CIC) watch team prior to deployment to Romania. The AATT (CIC Training Subsystem and A3C4I Training Subsystem) is installed in CSCS Detachment Dam Neck, Virginia.

The statement of work requires that JHT design and deliver a 3D simulation maintenance trainer for the A3C4I Training Subsystem that incorporates multi-touch, pressure sensitive gestures found in the proxSIMity Advanced Touch System. The maintenance trainer will communicate with the existing A3C4i operations trainer and the CIC Training Subsystem.

“The A3C4I Maintenance Trainer is an important enhancement to the existing Aegis Ashore training platform,” said Monte Watson, JHT Program Manager for the AATT contract. “JHT’s development team is well poised to contribute the technical capabilities in 3D modelling, simulation programming and naval C4I subject matter expertise required to develop this trainer. We are excited to have another opportunity to work with Northrop Grumman on this next phase of the AATT project.”
