Job Description: Provides support and assistance to government staff in writing and preparing final reports, papers and briefings at an executive, Service Academy, or Congressional level. Assists in gathering, analyzing, and composing technical information required to prepare initial drafts of these documents utilizing the format standards of previous SAPRO Reports. All writing shall be done according to the publication manual of H&R’s Publication Guide and be consistent with the Publication Manual of the American Psychological Association (APA). Ensures the use of proper technical terminology and translates technical information into clear, readable documents to be utilized by technical and non-technical personnel. Job Requirements:
Bachelor's degree; at least 5 years of experience writing for a senior level organization. Experience may be substituted for degree level.
Familiar with a variety of the field’s concepts, practices, and procedures.
Demonstrated understanding of the publication manual of H&R’s Publication Guide and be consistent with the Publication Manual of the American Psychological Association (APA).
Key skills or expertise:
American Psychological Association (APA) formatting knowledge
Broad knowledge editing and manipulating formatting tools in Adobe PDF formats and Microsoft Suite products (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, etc.)
Good communicators in both written and verbal environment.
