Job Description:
JHT, Inc., a government contractor, is hiring two part-time Research Analyst Interns, to provide research and data analysis support to DEOMI on topics related to psychology, human factors, data collection and statistics, human relations, and social science. Reviews and evaluates data and information from surveys, databases, and computer-generated documents/reports. Knowledgeable of techniques for conducting research, review, and process analysis associated with technical data from surveys and databases to develop and generate information and summary data; capable of generating process flow charts to support such activities as management and technical evaluations; able to perform management record keeping, tracking, and reporting and validation of information in source documentation.
Job Requirements:
Master’s Degree. Experience may be substituted for degree level. Familiar with a variety of the field’s
concepts, practices, and procedures.
Key Expertise Areas:
Human Factors Engineer, Psychologist, Sociologist, Anthropologist, or other research-based field related to Human relations and/or the Social Sciences.
Required key skills or expertise: Research methods and design, data/statistical analysis, data visualization, and technical writing, advanced knowledge of Excel.
Preferred key skills or expertise: Psychology, Psychometrician, knowledge in education and evaluation methods, familiarity with Kirkpatrick evaluation model.
Demonstrated expertise in research design and methods including survey programming and development (Qualtrics experience preferred), data analysis and visualization, and dissemination of findings to diverse audiences.
Demonstrated understanding of both quantitative and qualitative research methods and analysis techniques
Understanding of statistical analysis (strong understanding of both descriptive and inferential statistics and how to clean and analyze data with Excel and other programs such as SPSS or R)
Demonstrated expertise in reviewing and summarizing peer reviewed research (literature reviews, annotated bibliographies, advanced knowledge of APA guidelines)
Ability to manage multiple projects, tasks, and teams concurrently.
Possess strong analytical, administrative, and computer skills.
Strong writing, analytical, and critical thinking skills
Has experience in communicating findings to non-scientific audiences.
Must be a U.S. Citizen
