MRTS Wins Prestigious Admiral's Award

(Orlando, FL) 30 November 2010

JHT congratulates the Multi-Purpose Reconfigurable Training System (MRTS) team on receiving the Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division (NAWCAD) Commander's Award. This highly competitive and prestigious honor is bestowed to ten teams and one outstanding individual each year. Randy Honcik, Undersea Program Manager stated, "Submarine Training and Submarine Trainers have the reputation for being some of the best in the world. Previous to the MRTS, communications trainers for the entire submarine fleet were just not possible because of the cost. Using COTS technology, the MRTS is very affordable, truly reconfigurable, and has made it possible to deliver quality training to all classes of submarines in the fleet."

The MRTS team, along with the remaining ten award recipients, will be recognized at a special ceremony on December 2, 2010 at the RADM William A. Moffett building at Naval Air Station Patuxent River, Maryland.
