Case Study: New York City Wireless Network

CHALLENGE:
Following the terrorist attack of September 11, 2001, the City of New York desperately required a city-wide wireless network to connect the communications systems of its emergency personnel, first responder agencies, the Department of Transportation, the Department of Sanitation and other groups.

SOLUTION:
Northrop Grumman, the company chosen to design and develop the entire system, tasked JHT to develop a program to train the personnel who develop, operate and maintain the wireless network. Our team travelled to New York to gather process documentation and took still photographs and video to incorporate into the program. Training was delivered on site over a three-week period with an experienced stand-up lead instructor and a back-up instructor for project management and administrative support.

RESULT:
We developed a successful training program that satisfied Northrop Grumman’s needs and student engagement requirements. The project was completed on time and the response from both our customer and the students was favorable.
