Case Study: Hospital Emergency Renovation
CHALLENGE:
The Department of Veteran Affairs (VA) desperately needed to renovate the Emergency Room at its
hospital in Tampa, Florida. JHT, a service-disabled-veteran-owned construction company was charged with
coordinating this demanding, sophisticated project and completing it on time and within budget.
SOLUTION:
We were charged with coordinating the demands of this sophisticated and intricate project along with completing it
on-time and within the established budget. Using the “white-glove” standards typical of hospitals, new oxygen lines were
incorporated throughout and installation of information technology and electronic infrastructure were completed. Our
team pursued an agressive production schedule without disrupting or interfering with the ongoing operations of the rest
of the hospital.
RESULT:
The project was successfully completed within nine months. As a result of our efforts, the VA now operates a
contemporary and efficient Emergency Department that serves the veterans of Central Florida whose sacrifice deserves
the finest in medical care.
